Assessment / evaluation tools
Formal assessments are given in the classroom at the middle and end of each unit of study. The assessments typically consist of a written test consisting of consisting of problems covered through the unit.
In addition to the formal assessment informal assessment is given daily through questions, short answer response to written questions and guided response.
Additionally several web sites are used to provide direct feedback to student learning. Those web sites include StudyIsland.com, ExploreLearning.com and connected.mcgraw-hill.com. These programs require a teacher assigned user ID and password but are completely free to the student and can be obtained at any time.

Study Island’s programs are designed to help students master the content specified in state and Common Core standards. Study Island can be accessed at school or home making it a great tool to assist learning.
Explore Learning_ (Gizmos®)
Explore Learning Gizmos® is a large library of interactive online simulations for math and science education in grades 3-12.

IXL.com is a web site that provides 20 free random questions per day on several thousand topics covered by an appropriate standard. I use this site as an informal type assessment that provide structured but immediate feedback.
Connected. Mcgraw-Hill.com_
This site covers our textbook material and is used for geometry. Your student doesn't even need a textbook, it is all on-line and is completely free.
